Abstract

Parallel abstract (English)
The aim of this thesis is to describe how stress occurs and which strategy can a person use in order to cope with stress efficiently since the selection of the strategy depends, to a larger extent, on personal characteristics of an individual. One of the most common reason for stress is the unability to manage time so an important part of this thesis deals with the way time can be organized and managed as well as with the ways of improving time management skills. The final part of the thesis is substantiated with the examples of practical situations based on authors experiance as well as on the survey conducted among students about stress and time management. The thesis is divided into eight chapters: Introduction which talks about the aim of the thesis, The concept of stress, which includes various definitions and thouths about stress, Stress model and a description of its components: stressors, reaction, levels of reaction, defense mechanism, resistance to stress and strategies for stress management, What is time? This chapter focuses on a different perspective when examining the concept of time, Time management – strategies for time management, Significance and consequences of stress and time management, which creates a link between those two concepts, Practical part of the thesis, which describes the author's view on the personal stress management and the results of the empirical study on stress and time management of students, Conclusion – views, opinion and concluding remarks of author
