Abstract
Franšiza predstavlja jednu od strategija pokretanja poduzetničkog pothvata i ulaska na nova tržišta. U franšiznom poslovnom modelu davatelj franšize daje primatelju franšize pravo korištenja brenda i načina poslovanja u zamjenu za franšiznu naknadu koju definiraju potpisivanjem franšiznog ugovora. Franšizni poslovni model ima brojne prednosti koje se tiču manjeg rizika pokretanja poslovanja, popularnosti brenda i većeg potencijala rasta. Informiranjem poduzetnika o širenju poslovanja putem franšize razvija se hrvatsko tržište i pruža prilika velikim poduzećima kao što je Starbucks za suradnju s lokalnim poduzetnicima. Poduzeće Starbucks je jedan od primjera uspješne franšize koja svoje poslovanje širi na međunarodna tržišta. Proučavanjem kulturoloških i demografskih razlika, zakonodavstva i životnog standarda, poduzeće donosi odluku o ulasku na strano tržište. Potencijal ulaska poduzeća Starbucks na tržište Republike Hrvatske ispitao se u ovom radu.
Abstract (english)
Franchising is one of the strategies for starting an entrepreneurial venture and entering new business markets. In the franchise business model, the franchisor grants the franchisee the right to use the brand and business system in exchange for a franchising fee that is defined by signing the franchise agreement. The franchise business model has numerous advantages in terms of lower risk of starting a business, brand popularity and greater growth potential. By informing entrepreneurs about expanding their business through franchising, the Croatian market develops and provides an opportunity for large companies such as Starbucks to cooperate with local entrepreneurs. The company Starbucks is one example of a successful franchise that expands its business to international markets. By studying cultural and demographic differences, legislation and living standards, the company decides on entering a foreign market. The potential of Starbucks entering the Croatian market was examined in this paper.
