Abstract
Vođenje kao dio funkcije upravljanja danas dobiva na sve većem značenju. Način na koji lider vodi organizaciju predstavlja temelj za njen uspjeh. Lider posjeduje autoritet koji treba usmjeriti k ostvarenju organizacijskih ciljeva, imajući pri tome na umu da način vođenja treba prilagoditi razini predanosti i sposobnosti svojih suradnka kao i situaciji u kojoj se cijeli tim nalazi. Kada je lider otvoren prema svojim suradnicima i daje im mogućnost da dođu do izražaja stvara okruženje u kojem će suradnici biti motivirani da svojim radom doprinesu rješavanju problema i ostvarenju organizacijskih ciljeva. Uspješni lideri teže biti autentični jer ih to može učiniti prepoznatljivima, a njihovo djelovanje jedinstvenim. Iako je osobnost lidera genetski predodređena, sposobnost lidera da razvije svoju autentičnost i donese pravilne odluke nije nešto s čime se lider rađa i nešto što se razvija preko noći. Za uspješno vođenje potrebno je iskustvo i znanje, ali i volja i upornost. Liderske vještine potrebno je nadograđivati i usavršavati. Odnos prema suradnicima i ljudima s kojima posluje mora biti temeljen na kvalitetnoj komunikaciji koja proizlazi iz etičkih i moralnih vrijednosti i lidera i njegovih suradnika. Svrha rada je istražiti koje karakteristike posjeduju uspješni lideri te na praktičnim primjerima ukazati na primjenjivost terorije o liderstvu i analizirati vještine koje ispitanici primjenjuju na različitim upravljačkim razinama.
Abstract (english)
Leadership as part of the management function is becoming increasingly important today. The way a leaders manage their organizations is the foundation of the organization's success. Leaders should align their authority with the achievement of organizational goals, and the way they lead should be aligned with the commitment and capabilities of the employees and the situation in which the entire team finds itself. When leaders are honest and open with their employees and allow them to express themselves, they create an environment where employees are motivated to contribute and be important to their organization. Successful leaders strive to be authentic because it makes them recognizable and their actions unique. Although a leader's personality is mostly genetically determined, a leader's ability to develop authenticity and make the right decisions is not innate and does not develop overnight. Successful leadership requires experience and knowledge, but also will and perseverance. Leadership skills can and must be continuously developed. The relationship with employees must be based on open communication, based on the ethical and moral values of the leader and his or her employees. The purpose of this paper is to examine the characteristics of successful leaders, demonstrate the applicability of leadership theory through practical examples, and analyze the skills applied by interviewees at various management levels.
