The topic of this final thesis is to define business communication and examine the importance of business communication for the company. For the purpose of research, a survey questionnaire was created and distributed to employees of the company HEP Elektra d.o.o. Osijek plant. A total of 25 respondents of both sexes participated in the research, regardless of age, level of education and work experience. The very concept of communication means the skill of a person that allows him to define himself in the living environment. Communication within the company is a key component for business success, it represents a system that affects the entire organization, and it is considered effective if it is aimed at achieving the goals of the organization, that is, the company. Essentially, the purpose of effective business communication is to improve internal work processes, minimize errors and meet organizational goals. According to the results of the research, it was observed that company employees consider communication with their superiors extremely important, as well as communication with work colleagues. Good communication has a positive effect on productivity and the development of a company's competitiveness, but maintaining quality communication is the duty of superiors, therefore strong communication and management skills are expected from them. Considering how much time employees spend in each other's presence, it is important to promote the development of good relationships in the workplace because it positively affects the increase in employee morale and motivation, and increases the likelihood of good cooperation and mutual respect.
