Abstract
Napretkom društva povećava se i broj rizika kojima je pojedinac izložen. U cilju smanjenja utjecaja rizika i upravljanja budućim događajima, počela su se primjenjivati osiguranja. Osiguravajuća društva imaju ključnu ulogu u prikupljanju i plasiranju potrebnih novčanih sredstava fizičkim i pravnim osobama. Preuzimajući rizik od pojedinaca te dijeljenja na veći broj pojedinaca i pravnih osoba, osiguravajuća društva omogućavaju bolje funkcioniranje društva, ali i države u cjelini. Osiguravajuća društva ubrajaju se u financijske posrednike i imaju značajan utjecaj na financijska tržišta i sigurnost na tržištu. Na tržištu Republike Hrvatske u 2021. godini postojalo je 15 osiguravajućih društava, koja su pružala razne usluge životnih i neživotnih osiguranja. Cilj ovoga rada je analizirati ponudu proizvoda/usluga u osam odabranih osiguravajućih društava te analizirati uspješnost poslovanja korištenjem financijskih pokazatelja. Rezultati ukazuju na to da sva promatrana društva omogućavaju velik spektar osiguranja za različite rizike. Sva osiguravajuća društva svoje poslovanje prilagođavaju promjenama na tržištu te potrebama klijenata, što se najbolje očituje u mogućnosti kupovine osiguranja online putem. Ustanovljeno je kako Croatia osiguranje ima najveći broj proizvoda i usluga za pokriće velikog broja rizika u odnosu na sva promatrana društva. Također, navedeno društvo zauzima najveći udio na tržištu osiguranja promatrano kroz ukupnu imovinu i zaračunatu bruto premiju. Prema analiziranim koeficijentima zaduženosti i profitabilnosti najuspješnije društvo u 2021. godini u obavljanju djelatnosti osiguranja bilo je Croatia osiguranje, dok je najlošije pokazatelje zabilježilo Generali osiguranje.
Abstract (english)
As society progresses, the number of risks to which individuals are exposed increases. Insurance systems have been introduced to reduce the impact of risks and manage future events. Insurance companies play a key role in raising and providing the necessary funds for individuals and legal entities. By taking risk from individuals and distributing it among a larger number of natural and legal persons, insurance companies enable society and the country to function better. In 2021, there were 15 insurance companies on the market in the Republic of Croatia, offering various life and non-life insurance services. The aim of the work was to analyze the product/service offering of eight selected insurance companies and examine their business results based on financial indicators. The results show that all the companies studied offer a wide range of insurance for different risks. All insurance companies are adapting their business to the changes in the market and the needs of customers, which is best demonstrated by the possibility to purchase insurance online. Croatian osiguranje has the largest number of products and services covering a large number of risks compared to all observed companies. Moreover, this company has the largest share of the insurance market in terms of total assets and gross premiums written. According to the analyzed debt and profitability indicators, Croatia osiguranje was the most successful company in insurance activity in 2021, while Generali osiguranje had the worst indicators.
