Abstract
Globalizacija je proces smanjivanja svijeta, stvaranja takozvanog globalnog sela, koji ima značajan utjecaj na gospodarstvo i društvo. Njezine posljedice osjete se u svim gospodarskim granama i to ne samo pozitivne već i negativne. Turizam je jedan od onih sektora koji je posebno izložen globalizaciji i globalizacijskim trendovima jer se jača konkurencija između turističkih destinacija, mijenjaju se trendovi u turističkoj potražnji, a onda kroz to i ponudi. Ovaj završni rad opisuje globalizaciju kao proces koji utječe na turizam kao gospodarsku djelatnost koja „uživa“ u prilikama koje globalizacija donosi, ali su opasnosti veliki izazov.
Abstract (english)
Globalization is a process of shrinking the world, creating a so-called global village, which has a significant impact on the economy and society. Its consequences are felt in all economic sectors and they are not only positive but negative as well. Tourism is one of those sectors that is particularly exposed to globalization and globalization trends because competition between tourist destinations is intensifying, trends in tourist demand are changing, and then through it supply. This final paper describes globalization as a process that affects tourism as an economic activity that “enjoys” the opportunities that globalization brings, but the dangers are a great challenge.
