Abstract
Rad se bavi temom e-učenja, s naglaskom na potencijale i trendove navedenog. Podijeljen je u pet glavnih cjelina, od kojih se prva bavi osnovama e-učenja (pojam, vrste i povijest), dok su u drugoj cjelini navedene općenite prednosti i nedostaci e-učenja. Treća cjelina prikazuje potencijale e-učenja prikazane kroz dostupne platforme, pa se tako unutar trećeg poglavlja prolazi kroz pojam masovnog online tečaja (Massive Online Open Courses, MOOC) i objašnjava se kroz primjer najvećeg MOOC sustava, a to je Coursera. Zatim se navode platforme za individualno e-učenje, a tu se posebno navodi najpoznatija aplikacija za učenje stranih jezika, Duolingo. Kroz primjer Duolinga objašnjen je jedan od prisutnih trendova na području e-učenja, a to je korištenje elemenata igre, tzv. Gamification. Na kraju trećeg poglavlja kratko se spominju i platforme otvorenog koda (open-source platforms), s naglaskom na Moodle. Četvrta cjelina približava trendove u e-učenju, a izdvojeni su: mobilno učenje kao rastući trend, mikro učenje koje je usko povezano s mobilnim učenjem, te računarstvo u oblaku, koje posebice mijenja korporativno učenje. Zadnja važna cjelina jest nagoviještaj budućnosti e-učenja, kroz proširenu i virtualnu stvarnost, nosivu tehnologiju i neuroinformatiku. Zaključno, autorica radi sintezu ključnih misli nastalih tijekom izrade rada te, temeljem materije obrađene u čitavom radu, daje nekoliko ideja o budućnosti učenja.

Parallel abstract (English)
Main topic of this thesis is E-learning, with emphasis on potentials and current trends. Concept and potentials of E-learning are explained through five main chapters, out of which, first chapter deals with main terms of E-learning (definition, types of E-learning, and evolution of learning). Second chapter gives an overview of general advantages and disadvantages of e-learning. The third chapter deals with potentials of E-learning, which are explained through E-learning platforms, which are divided in three categories: Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC), with Coursera on top, next are platforms for individual learning, with Duolingo as a representative, as the most popular application for learning foreign languages. The third platform are open-source softwares, and example that is given is Moodle. Next chapters heading is E-learning trends, which are brought closer through examples of growing trend of Mobile Learning, concept of Microlearning and Cloud computing. In last chapter, the author is announcing the future of E-learning, which will be marked with Augumented and Virtual Reality, wearable technology and neuroinformatics. Synthesis of main toughts and ideas is given as a conclusion.
