Abstract
Turističke atrakcije predstavljaju temeljni resurs za razvoj turizma. One su te koje se vrednuju, obogaćuju i plasiraju na turbulentno turističko tržište. Pri planiranju razvijanja neke turističke destinacije važno je razmotriti njene potencijalne i realne atrakcije i bogatstva, odnosno njene temeljene resurse zbog kojih će turisti tu destinaciju u konačnici i posjetiti. Cilj istraživanja je uvidjeti što je turistima najvažnije prilikom odabira turističke destinacije te koje karakteristike utječu na njihov izbor. U radu su analizirane brojne pretpostavke koje su povezane s varijablama koje mogu biti od presudne važnosti pri određivanju destinacije koju će neki turist posjetiti. Kvantitativni istraživački pristup rada utemeljen je na podacima o autentičnoj industrijskoj baštini u turističkoj destinaciji. Stajališta turista prikupljena su upitnikom čime je stvoren uzorak od 342 ispitanika. Provedbom nekih od statističkih analiza testiraju se hipoteze i donose zaključci. Rezultati su pokazali kako postoje značajne razlike u preferencijama na putovanjima i zainteresiranosti za turističku baštinu uopće.
Abstract (english)
Tourist attractions are a fundamental resource for tourism development. They are valued, enriched, and placed on the turbulent tourist market. When planning the development of a tourist destination, it is important to consider its potential and real attractions and riches, its basic resources due to which tourists will eventually visit that destination. The goal of the research is to see what is most important for tourists when choosing a tourist destination and what characteristics influence their choice. The paper analyzes several assumptions related to variables that may be crucial in determining the destination that a tourist will visit. The quantitative research approach of the paper is based on data on authentic industrial heritage in a tourist destination. The views of tourists were collected by a questionnaire which created a sample of 342 respondents. By conducting some of the statistical analyzes, hypotheses are tested, and conclusions are drawn. The results showed that there are significant differences in travel preferences and interest in tourist heritage in general.
