Abstract
Poduzetnički proces započinje svojim prvim korakom – odlukom da se postane poduzetnikom, a uz što se najčešće vezuje i razvoj poslovne ideje. Ideja, kao začetak poduzetničkog pothvata, može, ali i ne mora biti poslovna prilika. Nije svaka ideja ujedno prilika. Većina ideja se nikada ne budu ostvareno, iz razloga što nisu poduzetničke prilike. Uočavanje poslovne prilike je proces koji zahtijeva određene sposobnosti i znanja. Mnoga od tih znanja stječu se formalnim obrazovanjem i prethodnim iskustvima. Postoji mnoštvo alata koji olakšavaju proces uočavanja poslovne prilike o kojima su pisali Porter, Drucker i drugi istraživači. Pri tome, suglasni su, kako su kreativnost i inovativnost od iznimna značaja prilikom osmišljavanja poslovnih prilika. Osim toga, postoje alati za razlikovanje ideje od prilike. Kako se taj proces odvija, opisali su Green i Timmons u svojim modelima. Svrha njihovih modela je sprečavanje ulaganja u ideje koje nisu poslovne prilike. Poznavanje alata za uočavanje poslovnih prilika olakšava poduzetnički proces i pomaže u realizaciji ideje, koju poduzetnik već posjeduje, ali nije siguran može li ju realizirati. Pomnim poslovnim planiranjem moguće je utvrditi koliko je ideja ostvariva i je li ona i poslovna prilika.
Abstract (english)
Entrepreneurial process begins with its first step – decision to become an entrepreneur, which is often related to development of business idea. Idea, as a beginning of developing a business can, or doesn’t have to become an opportunity. Not every idea is an opportunity. Most ideas are never being realized, because they are not being business opportunities. Spotting a business opportunity is a process, which requires specific abilities and knowledge. Most of those are being acquired by formal education and previous experiences. Porter, Drucker and other researchers have talked about many tools which make process of spotting a business opportunity easier. Thereby, all of them agree that creativity and innovation play the major role when designing a business idea. Besides that, there are tools to distinguish idea from opportunity. Green and Timmons explained in their models how is that process achievable. The purpose of their models is to prevent investment in ideas that are not opportunities. The purpose of education about tools for spotting a business opportunity is making it easier for entrepreneur to start entrepreneurial process and help him carry out an idea, which he owns, but isn't certain if it is possible to perform it. Careful business planning can determine whether or not the idea is achievable and can it become an opportunity.
