The final thesis written for the Human Resource Management Course explores employee management techniques. The purpose of this paper is to get acquainted with employee management techniques. Employee management also includes managing employee performance, managing employee motivation, managing a system of (in) material rewarding and motivating employees, managing employee careers, managing employee turnover and absenteeism. The paper describes managerial styles, of which team management proved to be the best. A manager who practices this leadership style is equally important to the results that are achieved, as well as the well-being of his employees. Insight into the available and numerous literature, the spectrum of different employees is presented in the models of different authors. Employee management techniques have the desired effect in cases where employees accept them. Since the paper lists the causes of stress that cover a wide range, human resource managers should try to reduce or completely eliminate these stressors. Emphasis was also placed on communication and providing feedback, giving criticism, tangible and intangible rewards and compensation. The contribution to the profession is reflected in the synthesis of personality types and, for them, appropriate and appropriate, suggested management techniques. To continue the research, it is suggested to examine the possibility of self-development of employees in the Republic of Croatia. It would be interesting to find out how they work on it in small, medium and large companies, but also in public and private companies.
