Abstract
Osiguranje je oduvijek bilo od velike važnosti za čovjeka te se razvijalo usporedno s razvojem civilizacije. Danas je osiguranje važan sudionik u financijskom sektoru i bitno tržište svake države koje je pravno uređeno i regulirano. U radu se istražuje povezanost između tržišta osiguranja i razvijenosti gospodarstva. U tu svrhu se analiziraju tržišta osiguranja Republike Hrvatske, Republike Austrije i Republike Slovenije tako što se uspoređuje kretanje broja osiguravajućih društava, broj zaposlenih u osiguranju, ukupna zaračunata bruto premija, penetracija osiguranja i gustoća osiguranja.
Abstract (english)
Insurance has always been of great importance to mankind and has developed in parallel with the development of civilization. Today, insurance is an important participant in the financial sector and an important market of every country that is legally defined and regulated. The paper investigates the connection between the insurance market and the development of the economy. For this purpose, the insurance markets of the Republic of Croatia, the Republic of Austria and the Republic of Slovenia are analyzed by comparing the movement of the number of insurance companies, the number of insurance employees, total gross written premiums, insurance penetration and insurance density.
