Abstract
Suvremeni uvjeti poslovanja obilježeni izrazitom i veoma brojnom konkurencijom postavili su pred poslovne subjekte veoma težak zadatak pravovremene tj. brze reakcije na svaku promjenu te donošenja odluka zasnovanih na svim relevantnim informacijama. Količina raspoloživih informacija te njihova vrijednost tj. kvaliteta ovisiti će o kvaliteti informacijskog sustava iz kojeg navedene informacije nastaju. Stoga se planiranju, projektiranju, izradi i implementaciji informacijskih sustava mora pokloniti maksimalna pažnja kako bi se osigurao kvalitetan sustav koji je u stanju ostvariti sve zahtjeve i potrebe koji se pred njega postavljaju od strane organizacije. Informacijski sustavi su danas nezamjenjivi kako kao podrška u procesu odlučivanja tako i u smislu objedinjavanja i pojednostavljenja upravljanja svim bitnim poslovnim procesima. Znanje je moć, a informacije zasnovane na relevantnim podacima osnova su nastanka znanja neophodnog za poslovnu uspješnost
Abstract (english)
The modern business conditions are characterized by a pronounced and, with a great deal of competition, they set up a very difficult task ahead of business ie. quick reactions to every change and making decisions based on all relevant information. The amount of information available and their value ie. the quality will depend on the quality of the information system from which the information is generated. Therefore, planning, designing, creating and implementing information systems must give maximum attention to ensure a quality system that is capable of achieving all the requirements and needs set forth by the organization. Information systems are irreplaceable today both as a support in the decision making process and in terms of streamlining and simplifying management of all essential business processes. Knowledge is power, and information based on relevant data is the basis for the emergence of knowledge necessary for business performance.
