Abstract

Parallel abstract (English)
The subject of this thesis is European labor market, from aspects of employment and unemployment. Many scientists think that the key factor for economic development of some contries is its employment rate. A lot of young and educated people today are fighting to find a job in their profession after the end of school. But many of them do not succeed so they try to find their luck in other countries. The cause of this is also the economic crisis that contributed to closing a lot of working places, and at the same time there are more and more young, educated people who are trying to find a job. Accelerated globalization, technological development and lack of industrialization also contributed to this problem. That is one of the main reasons for the big ‘’ brain drain ‘’ in Croatia and other countries like Croatia. Developed countries of European Union represent more attractive destination for educated people and that increases employment rate for bigger and more developed countries while at the same time it increases unemployment in smaller and less developed countries.
