Abstract
Tržište, ovisno o broju ponuđača i potrošača određenog dobra i/ili usluge ima svoja stanja. Kao dva krajnja oblika tržišnog stanja navode se savršena konkurencija i monopol. Savršena konkurencija predstavlja tržišno stanje kod kojeg je na strani ponude velik broj ponuđača, ali i potrošača proizvoda i usluga. S druge strane, monopol predstavlja oblik nesavršene konkurencije, odnosno tržišno stanje kod kojeg se na strani ponude nalazi samo jedan ponuđač, a na strani potražnje je, uglavnom, veći broj potrošača. Monopolist, zbog povoljne pozicije u odnosu na potrošača, ima do određene granice utjecaj na cijenu proizvoda i usluga, ali i on se susreće s raznim ograničenjima koja mu onemogućavaju samovoljno određivanje ekstremno visokih cijena.
Abstract (english)
The market has its structures, depending on the number of suppliers and consumers of goods and/or services. Two extreme variations of the market structure are the perfect competition and monopoly. Perfect competition is a market structure with a large number of suppliers present, as well as a large number of consumers of products and services. On the other hand, monopoly is a form of imperfect competition or a market structure with only one supplier or service provider, and a large number of consumers. Monopoly holders have an influence over the price of the service or product to a certain extent, due to their favourable position over consumers, but they also face various restrictions which prevent them in setting extremely high prices arbitrarily.
