Abstract
Donosimo iracionalne odluke zato sto naš mozak često zna biti lijen pa donosimo odluke na temelju uhodanih prečica. Kako bismo donijeli racionalne oluke moramo razmišljati, a to podrazumijeva ulaganje napora, pa time i potrošnju energije. Iz tog razloga, mi često koristimo prečice kako bi si pomogli učiniti naporan proces što kraćim i manje zahtjevnim. Te prečice zovemo heuristikama (eng. heuristics), ali one ponekad dovode do pogrešaka u prosuđivanju, do tkz. biasa (eng. biases). Jedna od glavnih posljedica tih grešaka u procjenama je ta, da smo mi vrlo loši kada pokušavamo predvidjeti budućnost te iz tog razloga griješimo kada razmišljamo što će nas usrećiti sutra, prekosutra ili za deset godina.
Abstract (english)
We make irrational decisions because our minds can sometimes be lazy and make choices by taking shortcuts. Making rational decisions requires a lot of thinking which means it requires a lot of effort and energy as well. As a result, we tend to use shortcuts to help ourselves to make the process faster and less demanding. Those shortcuts are also known as heuristics, but they often lead to the errors in judgements also known as biases. Some examples of those biases are: • Loss aversion and Endowment effect, • Framing effect, • Status quo, • Anchoring • Bandwagon effect, and • Semmeweis effect. One of the most important consequences of those errors in our judgements is that we are very bad in predicting the future, and therefore often make mistakes when considering what will make us happy later in life.
