Parallel abstract (English) | After the entrance of Croatia in the European Union, many possibilities opened for Croatia, especially in the sense of using the European funds as a new means for financial resources. Regarding what is previously mentioned, it is important to emphasize that the funds come from the money of taxpayers living in EU. Because of that, you need to meet the goals set by the EU and follow their rules and regulations to get the financial resources.
In practice that works in advantage for projects that fulfill the set goals of Croatia and EU both. Areas that are not part of the European Union strategic plan can't finance themselves from the EU funds.
There is a great challenge in front of the EU and Croatia. It's important to support the development and new investments in SME, as much it is important to support the development of local and regional government and NGOs. To do that you need to educate everyone that is interested so that they can easily apply and get the funds, they need for their projects.
EU funds also enable governments that long prepared infrastructural projects come to fruition. In that regard, we can say that the EU funds carry the immense value with themselves because they help develop cities and municipals, raise the competitiveness of SME. They also help develop tourism and preserve the environment and environmental beauty for future generations to live in. |
