Savršenu konkurenciju karakterizira veliki broj proizvođača jednog dobra, veliki broj kupaca, neograničena mobilnost inputa, outputa i poduzeća, potpuna informiranost svih sudionika o cijenama i sl.
Abstract (english) The market is the main driver of the economy of each country. The simplest definition of the market, says the market is a place where supply and demand meet.. In the market of goods and services, there are four market structures, such as perfect competition, monopoly and imperfect competition being among oligopoly and monopolistic competition. Two extreme variations of the market structure are the perfect competition and monopoly. Perfect competition is a market structure with a large number of suppliers present, as well as a large number of consumers of products and services. On the other hand, monopoly is a form of imperfect competition or a market structure with only one supplier or service provider, and a large number of consumers. Monopoly is a market structure where exists only one manufacturer and there is no competition. The typical characteristics of perfect competition are a large number of manufacturers of one same product, a large number of consumers, unrestricted mobility of inputs, outputs and firms, fully informed participants about prices, etc. More realistic market structure is imperfect competition, i.e., monopolistic competition or oligopoly. Oligopoly is very interesting to study because there are several companies in this market situation that can reach a monopoly price through price leadership or through secret agreements. There is a larger number of companies and customers in monopolistic competition, and product differentiation is a major feature. The monopolistic competition market is free to enter.
