Abstract
Odnosi s javnošću postali su bitan dio suvremenog upravljanja, tako da se sve više organizacija odlučuje na uvođenje takvih odjela u svoje poslovanje. Razlog za ovaj trend je jasan: javni imidž svake organizacije je bitan za uspjeh i njegov opstanak na tržištu. Kako bi komunicirali s javnosti, odnosi s javnošću su se u prošlosti oslanjali na tradicionalne medije, kao što su radio i televizija, da bi prenijeli vijesti ili priopćenja za javnost. Pojavom interneta, pa tako i suvremenih medija, okreće se nova era odnosa s javnošću, koju je vrlo važno promatrati, s obzirom na sve veće napredovanje tehnologije. Cilj ovoga rada je promotriti koja je uloga suvremenih medija u odjelima odnosa s javnošću.

Public relations have become an essential part of modern management, so it’s not unusual for organizations to develop public relations departments in their business. The reason for this trend is clear: the public image of an organization is essential for success and its survival in the market. To communicate with the public, public relations relied in the past on mass, traditional media such as radio and television in order to send their message or press releases. With the rise of Internet and new media, a new era of public relations appeared, which is very important to observe, due to the increasing technology development. The purpose of this paper is to see what the role of new media in public relations is.
