Abstract
Investicijski fondovi neophodni su za funkcioniranje svakog suvremenog gospodarskog sustava. Neke od prednosti investicijskih fondova su: profesionalni menadžment, upravljanje rizikom i diverzifikacija rizika, pristupačnost malim investitorima, likvidnost ulaganja, fiksni troškovi te sigurnost i transparentnost. Do ulaska Republike Hrvatske u Europsku uniju sukladno regulativi bilo je dvije vrste investicijskih fondova: otvoreni i zatvoreni investicijski fondovi. Ulaskom Republike Hrvatske u Europsku uniju 1. srpnja 2013. godine, nova regulativa odredila je podjelu investicijskih fondova na UCITS fond, otvoreni alternativni investicijski fond, te zatvoreni alternativni investicijski fond. Sukladno navedenom, doneseni su pravilnici o financijskom izvještavanju svakog pojedinog fonda. Neka financijska izvješća promatranih fondova su identična, a neka su specifična za svaki pojedini investicijski fond. U radu će se prikazati financijsko izvještavanje UCITS fonda te otvorenog i zatvorenog alternativnog investicijskog fonda.
