Abstract
Cink je važan mikronutrijent koji ima važnu ulogu u brojnim metaboličkim procesima u biljci, no pri većim koncentracijama je toksičan te može uzrokovati inhibiciju rasta i oksidacijski stres u brojnim biljnim vrstama. S ciljem istraživanja utjecaja cinka na antioksidacijski odgovor u korijenu i izdanku, mladi klijanci dviju sorti ozime pšenice (Divana i Srpanjka) tretirani su s dva različita izvora cinka (cinkov sulfat i cink-EDTA) tijekom sedam dana. Tretman cinkom nije značajno utjecao na klijavost obje sorte pšenice, dok je tretman cink-EDTA značajno povećao omjer mase korijena i izdanka kod sorte Srpanjka. Tretman cinkom uzrokovao je promjene u aktivnosti glutation-reduktaze, glutationperoksidaze i glutation-S-transferaze koje su bile uvjetovane sortom, vrstom biljnog organa i kemijskim oblikom cinka

Zinc is an important micronutrient which has a role in numerous metabolic processes in the plant, but is toxic at higher concentrations and can cause inhibition of growth and oxidative stress in a range of plant species. With the aim of investigating the effects of zinc on the antioxidant response in the root and shoot, young seedlings of two varieties of winter wheat (Divana and Srpanjka) were treated with two different sources of zinc (zinc sulphate and zinc-EDTA) in the period of seven days. Zinc treatment had no significant effect on germination of both wheat varieties, while the zinc-EDTA treatment significantly increased the shoot to root ratio of the Srpanjka variety. Zinc treatment caused a significant changes in the activity of glutathione reductase, glutathione peroxidase and glutathione S-transferase, which were determined by the wheat variety, the type of plant organ and the chemical form of zinc.
