Abstract
Voda je temeljno sredstvo za transport otopljenih tvari te čini 90% težine biljnih stanica. Postoje tri puta kretanja vode. Simplastni, transmembranski i apoplastni. Apoplastni put je primarni put kretanja vode u normalnim fiziološkim uvjetima. Zatim se voda po dolasku do Casparijevog pojasa kreće simplastno, prije ulaska u ksilem. Apoplast ima ulogu u fotonastijskom gibanju puči mijenjanjem svog pH, zatim u punjenju i pražnjenju floema jer čini zajednički bazen asimilata koji koriste svi biljni organi, te u transportu iona i šećera.
Abstract (english)
Water is the fundamental medium for transporting solutes and makes up to 90% of the weight of plant cells. There are three pathways of water movement: symplastic, transcellular, and apoplastic. The apoplastic pathway is the primary pathway of water movement under normal conditions. Then the water moves symplastically upon arrival at the Casparian band before entering the xylem. The apoplast plays a role in the photonastic motion of the stomatal apertures by changing its pH in loading and unloading the phloem because it forms a shared pool of assimilates used by all plant organs in the transport of ions and sugars.
