Abstract
Tiosemikarbazidi su skupina organskih spojeva koji pokazuju široki spektar bioloških aktivnosti,uključujući antibakterijsku, antifungalnu, antimalarijsku, antitumorsku i antioksidacijsku aktivnost. U kombinaciji s kumarinima, koji su također biološki aktivni spojevi, tiosemikarbazidi pokazuju značajnu antioksidacijsku aktivnost. Osim zbog svoje biološke aktivnosti, tiosemikarbazidi su danas vrlo zastupljeni u organskoj sintezi kao prekursori različith heterocikličkih spojeva, kao što su oksadiazoli,tiadiazoli, triazoli i tiazolidinoni. U radu je ispitivana antioksidacijska aktivnost sintetiziranih tiosemikarbazida, a prema dobivenim rezultatima zaključeno je kako tiosemikarbazidi imaju dobru antioksidacijsku aktivnost.

Thiosemicarbazides are a group of organic compounds that exhibit a wide range of biological activities including antibacterial, antifungal, antimalarial, antitumor and antioxidant activity. In combination withthe coumarins, which are also biologically active compounds, thiosemicarbazide exhibit significant antioxidant activity. Except for their biological activity, thiosemicarbazides are nowadays highlyrepresented in organic synthesis as precursors of different heterocyclic compounds, such asoxadiazoles, thiadiazoles, triazoles and thiazolidinones. This paper presents evaluation of antioxidantactivity of newly synthesized thiosemicarbazides and according to the results it was concluded that thiosemicarbazides have good antioxidant activity.
