Abstract
Matematički modeli su pojednostavljeni prikazi realne situacije koji uz pomoć matematičkog jezika opisuju ponašanja prirodnih sustava kako bi predvidjeli ponašanje promatranih sustava u budućnosti uz njihovu manipulaciju. U radu su uspostavljeni modeli osnovnih tipova predator-plijen interakcija te diskretni model hranidbene mreže izgrađene na temelju tih odnosa. Naglasak je stavljen na predator-plijen odnose u tročlanim hranidbenim lancima uz prikaz promjene dinamike populacija kroz varijacije osnovnih parametara populacije: nosivi kapacitet, K; koeficijent rasta populacije, r; koeficijent predacije, cp. Dobiveni su realnosti bliski modeli pomoću kojih je omogućeno matematičko predviđanje dinamike populacija te trendova i promjena u gustoći promatranih populacija.

Mathematical models are simplified presentation of real situations which use mathematical language to describe natural system behaviors and enable scientists to make assumptions and manipulate observed systems. In this work, models were established on the basis of basic types of predator-prey interactions. A discrete model of food web was conducted using these relationships. Emphasis is placed on predator-prey relationships in three-member food chains with displayed changes in population dynamics through variations of basic parameters of population: carrying capacity, K; growth rate, r; predation rate, cp. Results of this work are reality close models which make mathematical predictions of population dynamics possible, alongside with trends and density fluctuations in observed populations.
