Abstract
Istočna Hrvatska obiluje velikim brojem jestivih i otrovnih vrsta gljiva, ponajviše iz razloga što je u ovom dijelu Hrvatske velik broj netaknutih šuma, polja i livada. Na ovom se području od davnina gljive skupljaju i suše u svrhu prehrane, a također je zabilježena njihova upotreba u ljekovite svrhe. Pretpostavlja se da u Hrvatskoj živi oko 20 000 vrsta gljiva, no za sada je zabilježeno oko 4 500 vrsta, a točan broj nije utvrđen ni za Istočnu Hrvatsku. U ovom radu je dan pregled i opis jestivih gljiva Istočne Hrvatske, a najpoznatije i najznačajnije za ovo područje su vrganji, sunčanica, poljska pečurka, hrastovača, bukovača, mliječnica i lisičarka.

Eastern Croatia abounds with various types of mushrooms, from toxic to edible, mostly because this part of Croatia has a large number of intact forests, open fields and meadows. Since ancient times, they were gathered and dried for food, and they were also notable for their healing properties. It is assumed that in Croatia lives about 20 000 species of mushrooms, but until now only around 4 500 species have been estimated and the exact number is not yet recorded even for Eastern Croatia. This paper presents an overview and description of edible mushrooms of Eastern Croatia, most renowned of which are boletes, parasol mushroom, field mushroom, spindleshank, oyster mushroom, milk-cap and chanterelle.
