Abstract
Solni stres je vrlo važan ograničavajući abiotički čimbenik, koji predstavlja sve veći problem današnjice za mnoge biljke. Solni stres dovodi do prekomjernog stvaranja reaktivnih kisikovih tvari (ROS) koje dovodi do je pojave okidacijskog stresa u biljaka. U borbi protiv oksidacijskog stresa sudjelujuenzimski i neenzimski antioksidacijski sustav biljke. Za povećanje otpornosti biljaka na biotički i abiotički stres često se koriste tretmani biotičkim elicitorima. -Kriptogein je biotički elicitorkoji izlučuje fitopatogena oomiceta Phythophthora cryptogea, koji kod biljaka izaziva hipersenzitivni odgovor i sustavno stjecanje otpornosti naneke izvore stresa. Cilj ovog rada bio je odrediti utjecaj inducibilne ekspresije gena crypt, koji kodira oomicetalni elicitor -kriptogein, na oksidacijski i antioksidacijski status transgenog korijenja ukrasne koprive (Coleus blumei Benth.) izloženog solnom stresu. Kako bi se utvrdio oksidacijski status transgenog korijenja mjerene su koncentracije vodikovog peroksida (H2O2) i produkata lipidne peroksidacije (LPO), dok je antioksidacijski status određen mjerenjem aktivnosti enzima katalaze (CAT) i gvajakol-perokidaze (GPOD). Inudcibilna ekspresija oomicetalnog elicitora -kriptogeina ublažava učinak solnog stresa u transgenom korijenju ukrasne koprive povećanjem antioksidacijskog statusa tkiva. Stoga bi inducibilna ekspresija gena crypt mogla biti dobra strategija u obrani biljaka od različitih okolišnih stresova.

Salt stress is a very important limiting abiotic factor thatnowadays presents a growing problem for many plants. Salt stress leads to excessive production of reactive oxygen species (ROS), resulting in the emergence oxidative stress in plants. In defense against oxidative stress participate enzymatic and non-enzymatic antioxidant system of plants. To improve plant resistance to abiotic and biotic stress often are used biotic elicitors treatments. -Cryptogein is a biotic elicitor, secreted by oomycete Phytophthora cyptogea, that induces hypersensitive response and systemic acquired resistance againstin plants against some stress sources. The aim of this study was to estimate the impact of -cryptogein on oxidative and antioxidative status of Coleus blumei Benth.transgenic roots exposed to salt stress. To determine oxidative status of transgenic roots, concentrations of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and products of lipid peroxidation (LPO) were mesured. Antioxidative status was determined by measuring catalase (CAT) and guaiacol peroxidase (GPOD) activities. Induced expression of oomycetal elicitor -cryptogein reduce the effect of the salt stres in transgenic root of C. blumei by increasing antioxidative status. Induced expression of crypt gene might be potentialstrategy in plant defence against various environmental stresses.
