Abstract
Na području istočne Hrvatske travnjake možemo svrstati u četiri glavne skupine: Vlažne livade Srednje Europe, Mezofilne livade Srednje Europe, Vlažni, nitrofilni travnjaci i pašnjaci, te Suhi travnjaci. Brojni su uzroci smanjenja travnjačkih površina na području istočne Hrvatske. Zajednice Vlažnih livada Srednje Europe na području istočne Hrvatske uslijed nekorištenja travnjaka i melioracijskih radova već su uvelike nestale, a one koje još postoje su u postupku nestanka. More mezofilnih livada Srednje Europe i vlažnih, nitrofilnih travnjaka i pašnjaka na području istočne Hrvatske zbog smanjene košnje dolazi do promijena strukture zajednica na pojedinim lokalitetima, pa čak i do njihova zarastanja. Od suhih travnjaka istočne Hrvatske pretvaranjem travnjaka u poljoprivredne površine, ostali su samo fragmenti zajednica na pojedinim vrlo malim površinama koji su uglavnom u procesu nestanka. Za neka od ovih staništa već su poduzeti akcijski planovi, a svakako su potrebna intenzivnija istraživanja kako bi se utvrdilo stvarno stanje, te kako bi se poduzele mjere u održavanju biološki vrijednih staništa i zadržala biološka raznolikost kako Hrvatske. Abstract (english)
Grassland vegetation of the eastern Croatia can be divided into four main groups: wet meadows of Middle Europe, mesophyle meadows of Central Europe, eutrophic humid grasslands and dry grasslands. There are many reasons of reduction of grasslands in eastern Croatia. Communities of wet meadows of Central Europe have already largely disappeared in eastern Croatia due to non-use of grassland and melioration and those that still exist are in the process of disappearance. More mesophilic meadows of Central Europe and moist and nitrophilious meadows and pastures in eastern Croatia, reduced mowing leads to not only changes in the structure od communities in certain localities but also to their overgrowing. As dry meadows of eastern Croatia were converted into farmlands there are only fragments of communities in some very small areas which are mostly in the process of disappearance. Action plans have been undertaken for some of these habitats, however, more intensive research is needed to determine the actual situation and to take measures to sustain biologically valuable habitats and to maintain biological diversity in Croatia.
