The topic of this paper is the role of cultural and creative industries in the development of tourism and economy. The term creative and cultural industries begines with the term cultural industry. Various projects/programs that have been implemented both in the world and in Croatia that have helped in the development of cultural and creative industries are described. Progress can be seen in all the data and numerous plans show that there will be many more opportunities for development. Tourism is an economic activity that can contribute to the development of the economy and toghether with the cultural and creative industries a winning combination is created. Creativity is one of the important factors of this sector, it is included in all parts of the cultural and creative industries and is a strong stimulas to the sectors. Cultural tourism is one of the oldest forms of tourism and Croatia, country rich with cultural and historical sights, has a great influence on the development of cultural tourism and the economy. The concept of creativity is mentioned more often, especially in the development of creative industries in order to create new tourist offers. Creative tourism includes a wide range of activities such as music, sports or gastronomy which attracts a large number of people. Creativity is an important part of this secort, it is included in all parts of the cultural and creative industries and is a strong stimulus to the sectors.
