Abstract
Ovaj diplomski rad istražuje utjecaj streaming platformi na glazbenu industriju, fokusirajući se na promjene u potrošačkim navikama, poslovnim modelima, prihodima izvođača i percepciji vrijednosti glazbe. Cilj istraživanja bio je procijeniti kako korisnici percipiraju streaming usluge u usporedbi s tradicionalnim načinima slušanja glazbe te utvrditi utjecaj tih platformi na otkrivanje novih izvođača i financijsku podršku glazbenicima. Govori se o autorskim pravima i zaštiti izvođača. Opisane su i predstavljene najpoznatije streaming platforme te su uspoređene cijene mjesečnih pretplata i paketa. Primijenjene su kvantitativne i kvalitativne metode, uključujući anketni upitnik. Rezultati pokazuju da većina korisnika preferira streaming zbog pristupačnosti, ali većina nije svjesna ili ne smatra da streaming platforme adekvatno plaćaju izvođače. Glazba se sve manje vrednuje kroz fizičke ili digitalne albume.
Abstract (english)
This thesis examines the impact of streaming platforms on the music industry, focusing on changes in consumer habits, business models, artists' income and the perception of the value of music. The goal of the research was to assess how users perceive streaming services compared to traditional ways of listening to music, and to determine the impact of these platforms on the discovery of new artists and financial support for musicians. It talks about copyright and artist protection. The most famous streaming platforms are described and presented, and the prices of monthly subscriptions and packages are compared. Quantitative and qualitative methods were used, including a questionnaire. The results show that most users prefer streaming due to affordability, but most are unaware or do not believe that the streaming platform adequately pays artists. Music is valued less and less through physical or digital albums.
