Abstract
Ovaj diplomski rad bavi se analizom drame „Krappova posljednja vrpca“ autora Samuela Becketta i razvojem koncepta za njeno izvođenje u formi lutkarske predstave. Beckett u središte drame stavlja šezdesetdevetogodišnjeg starca Krappa koji repetitivno preslušava vlastite dnevničke audiozapise. Neke od tema koje otvara su prolaznost vremena, odnosi, uspomene, odnos i utjecaj prošlosti, sadašnjosti i budućnosti, ljubav i usamljenost. Cilj predloženog koncepta lutkarske predstave je istraživanje čovjekove percepcije vlastitog života, propitivanje što mu je važno, kako doživljava sebe i svijet oko sebe te kako stvara i upravlja svojim uspomenama. Forma lutkarstva odabrana je zbog mogućnosti prikaza glavnog lika istovremeno u sadašnjosti i u sjećanjima uz simbolične prikaze atmosfera njegovih unutarnjih stanja. Isti glumac animator igra Krappa od 69 godina i animira stolnu lutku Krappa od 39 godina. Ravnopravnom igrom između glumca animatora i lutke prikazuje se odnos glavnog lika samog prema sebi i vlastitim sjećanjima.
Abstract (english)
This thesis explores Samuel Beckett's play “Krapp’s Last Tape” and develops the concept for its performance in the form of a puppet show. Beckett centres the play around a sixty-nine-year-old man, Krapp, who repeatedly listens to his own diary audio recordings. Some of the topics addressed in the play are the transience of time, relationships, memories, and the relationship and influence of the past, present, and future, as well as love and loneliness. The aim of the proposed concept of the puppet show is to explore a person's perception of his own life, to question what is important to him, how he perceives himself and the world around him, and how he creates and manages his memories. The form of puppetry was chosen due to the possibility of depicting the main character simultaneously in the present and in his memories with symbolic representations reflecting the atmospheres of his inner states. The same actor puppeteer plays the 69-year-old Krapp and animates the tabletop puppet representing Krapp at the age of 39. The relationship between the main character and his own memories is portrayed through the equal interplay between the actor puppeteer and the puppet.
