Abstract
U ovom se radu proučava pojam preferencija, ponajviše onih glazbenih, kulturni identitet mladih te odnos glazbenih preferencija i identiteta pojedinca. Prikazano je više klasifikacija na temu glazbenih preferencija, a to su STOMP klasifikacija, četverofaktorska klasifikacija autora Rentfrowa i Goslinga koja je proširena s još glazbenih stilova i podstilova i nazvana MUSIC klasifikacija te klasifikacija autora Miella pod nazivom model uzajamnih povratnih informacija. Većina istraživanja o glazbenim preferencijama koja su navedena u radu došla su do sličnog rezultata, a to je da mladi više preferiraju pop i rock glazbu, a manje turbofolk te da jednako preferiraju kompleksni (heavy metal, alternativna i klasična glazba) i konvencionalni (folk, soul, rock i religijska glazba) glazbeni stil. U radu se također raspravlja o kulturi, njezinim obilježjima, utjecaju na društvo i pojedinca kao i o razvitku kulturnog identiteta, pogotovo kod mladih. Naposljetku, proučava se veza između glazbenih preferencija i kulturnog identiteta kao i njihov međusobni utjecaj. Rad nastoji prikazati važnost glazbe u našem svakodnevnom životu i njezin utjecaj na kulturni identitet čovjeka.
Abstract (english)
This work studies the concept of preferences, mostly musical ones, the cultural identity of young people, and the relationship between musical preferences and the identity of an individual. Several classifications on the subject of musical preferences are presented, namely the STOMP classification; the four-factor classification by Rentfrow and Gosling, which was expanded with more musical styles and substyles and called the MUSIC classification; and the classification by Miell called the model of mutual feedback. Most of the research on music preferences that is mentioned in the paper came to a similar result, namely that young people prefer pop and rock music more and turbofolk less, and equally prefer complex (heavy metal, alternative, and classical music) and conventional (folk, soul, rock, and religious music) musical styles. The work also discusses culture, its characteristics, its influence on society and the individual, as well as the development of cultural identity, especially among young people. Finally, the connection between musical preferences and cultural identity, as well as their mutual influence, is studied. The work tries to show the importance of music in our everyday lives and its influence on the cultural identity of people.
